What we are making: nothing new. Today somebody who is not on your team uses your page while you say nothing.

The test, and the three questions

1. Hand your phone, with your page open, to somebody from another team. Say nothing.
2. Let them look at it for as long as they want.
3. Then ask exactly three questions: what does this measure? is that good or bad right now? how old is that reading?
4. Write down their three answers word for word.
5. Any of the three they get wrong is your work for the rest of the session.

What usually needs fixing

1. Units. A number on its own means nothing.
2. The judgement in words, bigger than the number if the judgement is the point.
3. The age of the reading, always.
4. Size. If they had to lean in, it is too small. Make it bigger than feels sensible.

The freeze

From the end of today, no changes. Write the IP address on a card so visitors can load it themselves in session 16.
